Continuity Management
Continuity management, often referred to as Business Continuity Management (BCM), is a holistic and strategic approach that organizations adopt to ensure the ongoing availability of critical business functions and processes in the face of disruptive events. The primary objective is to minimize the impact of incidents, such as natural disasters, cyber-attacks, and other unforeseen disruptions, on an organization’s operations. ISO 22301, titled “Security and resilience – Business continuity management systems – Requirements,” presents a framework for organizations to establish, implement, maintain, and enhance a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).
