Conventions used

There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.

CodeInText: Indicates code words in text, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, and user input. Here is an example: "The class contains three properties (namely Id, Name, and Role), as well as two constructors."

A block of code is set as follows:

int[,] numbers = new int[,] =
{
    { 9, 5, -9 },
    { -11, 4, 0 },
    { 6, 115, 3 },
    { -12, -9, 71 },
    { 1, -6, -1 }
};

Any command-line input or output is written as follows:

    Enter the number: 10.5
    The average value: 10.5 (...)
    Enter the number: 1.5
    The average value: 4.875

Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see onscreen. For example, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in the text like this. Here is an example: "When the message Installation succeeded! is shown, click on the Launch button to start the IDE."

Warnings or important notes appear like this.
Tips and tricks appear like this.
