Monitoring Data Pipeline Performance
Data pipelines facilitate the seamless flow of data from various sources to destinations, enabling critical processes such as data transformation, enrichment, and loading. However, ensuring the efficiency and health of data pipelines is essential for maintaining optimal performance. In this context, monitoring plays a pivotal role.
Monitoring allows you to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and resource-intensive stages within your data pipelines. By analyzing performance metrics, you can fine-tune pipeline components, optimize query execution, and reduce latency.
Similar to the data movement metrics you saw in the Measuring Performance of Data Movement section, ADF provides metrics for overall pipelines too.

This section primarily focuses on the Monitor data pipeline performance concept of the DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure exam.
