VMware Cloud on AWS

VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC on AWS) is a jointly engineered solution provided by both AWS and VMware. It is specifically designed to accelerate migrations from an on-premises VMware-backed data center to the AWS cloud. Each VMC on AWS offering provides a single-tenant managed infrastructure running on i3 or i3en.metal instances, backed by VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vCenter Server. This form of migration service falls under the Relocate strategy, where VMs or servers are simply relocated from one location to the cloud using the hypervisor as the underlying medium for migration.
