Previewing and publishing your interaction
As Articulate Engage produces a Flash video file, it is necessary to publish your interaction rather than use it in its raw form. This is a largely automatic process, performed by the program with a little input from you.
Getting ready
You'll need an interaction that is ready to publish. If you have been keeping the interaction that we've been working on in the last several recipes, you can use that. If not, you'll need to create a simple interaction. Any type of interaction will do, but it needs to have at least two steps.
How to do it…
There are two stages to this, first previewing the interaction to make sure that it is working the way that you want, and then publishing it. To preview and publish your interaction, perform the following steps:
Click on the Preview button on the ribbon. The program will generate your preview. This will take a couple of minutes. Don't worry if the status bar gets terminated and disappears, and the preview doesn't appear...
