An IR remote control tester block diagram

An IR remote control tester can be thought of as an electronic sensor with a visual display. A text message of the IR signal being present or absent will be displayed on a visual screen. Placing an IR handheld remote control in front of an electronic sensor and pressing a button will show the presence of an infrared signal on the visual display.
