Accessing simple demographic data in ArcGIS Pro
Another useful integration between ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online is the ability to access some simple demographic data that Esri publishes via their GeoEnrichment service. This data is accessed via the Infographics tool on the Map tab.
This tool presents the data as a series of graphs, tables, and reports. It can help you answer several questions about the area you are working in, such as:
- What is the average income level?
- What is the total population?
- How diverse is the population?
- What is the age demographic breakdown for the area?
The amount of information, level of detail, and scale available will depend on where you are working in the world. Esri maintains a large collection of demographic data, however it is not always 100% complete.
