Tip #3: How to Build a Recycle Bin
Postings deleted from Site Manager are automatically thrown into the Deleted Items bin. Authors can restore these deleted postings any time by moving them back to the channels they came from.
Unfortunately, the same feature isn’t available for postings deleted using Web Author or the Publishing API. Once a posting has been deleted from the web interface, it is removed from the content repository and the only way to recover it is from a previous backup. Not exactly the kind of answer that an author who has accidentally deleted an important post would like to hear.
