Summary

In this chapter, we presented a solution use case that will be used during the following chapters. As we will start from a monolithic solution, it was important to understand the difference between this and microservices architecture to be able to select the best approach and re-architect it, using native-cloud technologies. We learned about the challenges and solutions for distributed data management, and finally, we presented the solution architecture.

In the next chapter, you will learn about the different patterns and technologies in the cloud.
