Using vRealize Log Insight with vRealize Operations Manager

Now that we have installed and configured vRealize Log Insight, we'll take a look at how the integrations with vRealize Operations Manager are surfaced.

Orientation

We won't seek to cover "How to use" vRealize Log Insight here, as that would probably be a book in its own right! We will, however, provide an orientation of the UI in this section.

The following are the three main areas of the UI that you will be using:

• Dashboards: Content Packs will typically install a number of vRealize Log Insight dashboards to help visualize the log events flowing into the solution.

  For example, the vSphere Content Pack comes with 23 dashboards, covering everything from performance, security, vCenter tasks and alerts, vMotions, and networking to storage, and much more!

• Interactive analysis: You will use interactive analysis when you drill down into a subject and look at the logs in more detail or further refine your queries.

• Administration: We have...
