Making Our Own Shapes

Before moving on to the next part of this book, there are a few things we still need to cover when learning advanced strategies for working with Tinkercad. In this chapter, we are going to combine some of the skills and concepts covered in previous chapters as we strive to create our own custom shapes.

As you continue to design unique 3D models in Tinkercad, you may find that you use similar strategies and methods frequently. You may also find that after importing models or designs into Tinkercad once, as discussed in Chapter 8, there is a need to reuse shapes from one design to the next.

We will be looking at how these things can be achieved, as well as what other resources exist to make our abilities in designing complex 3D models that much more effective through the following topics:

  • Scribbling shapes
  • Working with the Shape Generators
  • Creating custom shapes

By the end of this chapter, you will not only be aware of some new tools...
