SSL VPNs utilize advanced technology to deliver remote access from web browsers. They are equipped to allow both web and non-web communications, and use sophisticated technologies to address the challenges presented by both types of traffic. They can even deliver a remote network connection.

The access granted by SSL VPN technology, however, pose serious security concerns, which is what we will now address in Chapter 4.
