Using Windows 365 as a privileged access workstation

An important way to protect a company against attackers is to implement privileged administration. Privileged accounts have the potential to do a lot of damage if they become compromised by attackers. Privileged administration contains a strategy, design, and implementation. Desktops are a part of privileged administration, which consists of three security levels:

  • Enterprise security: This level is meant for regular users and roles, and it has the least amount of security configured.
  • Specialized security: This level is meant for roles that have a higher business impact, such as developers, social media accounts, or executives.
  • Privileged access: This level is meant for roles that have the potential to cause major damage to the company if they becomes compromised. Desktops at this level should have the highest security level.
