Managed packages
Salesforce managed packages are developed, packaged, and distributed by Salesforce partners – also known as independent software vendors (ISVs). These packages provide a way to extend the functionality of Salesforce by adding new features, processes, or applications without having to build them from scratch. Managed packages are distributed through the Salesforce AppExchange, which is an online marketplace for Salesforce applications, components, and services. AppExchange allows developers and partners to publish their managed packages for Salesforce customers to discover, evaluate, and install them directly into their Salesforce environments.
