Professional tips, tricks, and important points
For professional tips and things when it comes to cropping, Affinity Photo has taken care of most of them, from the overlays to the non-destructive nature of the crop function (releasing and revealing the image). If forced to give you my professional opinion over the years, the most common things we see people struggle with in their growth are the following:
- Not knowing the result they are after regarding print versus digital. Remember the DPI value is different if you are printing the image, and that image may look great on screen, and then the print is less impressive than expected. Be intentional in the desired output.
- Secondly, people fail to strategically plan their image with regard to their focal point and subject hierarchy, and then the image has less than stellar appeal or confusion on behalf of the viewer.
