DDNS

Another feature that can be added by using an additional plugin is DDNS. The DDNS feature is most used on home or small business installations where a static or public IP address isn’t available. Some services that may use DDNS are OpenVPN, IP Security (IPsec), NAT rules, or external management access to OPNsense. To add this feature, we need to add the os-dyndns plugin. After being installed, the plugin configuration page is on the Services | Dynamic DNS menu. To start using it, we’ll need an account on a compatible predefined service. The plugin supports several services, so finding a suitable service for your needs won’t be challenging.
