The suite versus best of breed


In a sense, this conundrum is an argument between breadth and depth. Do we want a system that has great of breadth in that it automates many different processes spanning the entire company? Alternatively, do we need the depth of best of breed products, which have the deepest functionalities in their respective specialties?

The suite

The NetSuite value proposition is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. As we have seen, consolidating everything into one system provides a number of unique benefits.

The benefit of the suite is not just that we can execute sales operations, marketing, fulfillment and receiving, invoicing, payment, processing, and so on in one convenient system. The system relates all of these activities to the individual customers and vendors that we interact with.
