Chapter 10. Moodle Reporting

Moodle collects usage data from all activities taking place from the time a user logs in until he or she logs out. This data can be utilized for a range of reporting activities that will be dealt with in this chapter. After an overview, you will learn about four reporting techniques:

• Moodle's reporting facilities: This includes activity reporting and user tracking as well some basic statistics

• Report generation: This covers some powerful add-ons to create user-defined reports

• Data analysis: This includes web log analyzers and live data trackers such as Google Analytics

• Miscellaneous reports: This covers a number of additional reports provided by Moodle
