Summary
This chapter started by enumerating the key points to consider when choosing a cloud provider, together with the common pitfalls and second thoughts that we can have during and after the process, and how being able to work in different environments and providers simultaneously can be extremely beneficial.
Then we introduced Anthos, a platform that can help us use multiple environments and cloud providers while providing unified management, security, and observability capabilities.
After deep diving into Anthos components, concepts, and features, we had the chance to use a hands-on example to better understand the benefits of Anthos and deploy a test application to Google Cloud and Azure.
In the next two chapters, I will show you how Google Cloud services and APIs can help us simplify our code while bringing advanced and useful features to our applications and services.
