As the name implies, the PSA functionality manages projects for consulting and service organizations. There are several core business processes that are handled by the application:
- Creating and managing projects
- Creating and managing project schedules
- Project estimation
- Scheduling resources for projects
- Tracking project progress
We will cover these aspects throughout this chapter. At the time of writing, the PSA functionality is already at version 3. This version brings some incremental updates to the solution and clears some of the quirks of the previous versions. Also, this version is entirely built to leverage the Unified Interface, making it ready for multiple form factors through responsive design and providing full support for accessibility.
