Enablers for enhancing agility


Assuming that the partner is not co-located with the client, all the enablers related to distributed development, as mentioned in Chapter 12, Distributed Teams, will apply to the client-partner co-delivery program as well. Moreover, given that the co-delivery is with two different organizations, the following additional enablers may help.

Ways of working

Adopting the following ways of working can be an enabler for enhancing agility for both the client and the partner.

True spirit of partnership

For a meaningful, mutually beneficial relationship with the partner, the nature of the relationship needs to become a partnership in the truest sense. The following are some questions to answer in this regard:

  • Does the partner's leadership believe in the revised objective of the relationship, that is, collaboration over contract negotiation?

  • Can a shared objective success criterion be defined and agreed upon between both parties?
