Backing up and restoring a library
With many of your assets stored in a CC Library, it makes sense to back it up. However, this can also be a useful way to move libraries between accounts. Libraries can be exported as .cclib files, which can then be imported into the CC Libraries panel in not only InDesign but also a range of other Adobe CC apps.
In this short but important recipe, we will look at creating a backup of a library and how to restore it from within the CC Libraries panel in InDesign.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, if you don’t already have a library with some content in it, create one now. I have called mine Brand Ideas Library and added a few sample items, including color swatches, graphics, and text styles, as shown in the earlier recipes in this chapter.
