Task: Maintain Requirements

You will know that when working with requirements on an initiative, there are many factors that can influence the requirements on a regular basis. The task of maintaining requirements is all about working to keep requirements as accurate and consistent as possible throughout the entire initiative.

In this section, we will learn about the underlying purpose of maintaining requirements in their entirety and explore which types of requirements are suitable for reuse on multiple initiatives.

Purpose

According to the BABOK® v3 guide, the purpose of the Maintain Requirements task is to do the following:

" … retain requirement accuracy and consistency throughout and beyond the change...
