Password protection
Password protection works only on sections within a notebook. You cannot password-protect an entire notebook or page. So, if you are sharing a notebook with others, you could password-protect a section of a notebook. Then, you could share the password with a limited number of people that share the notebook. This way you are creating a private area for sensitive information.
Important Note
Note that there is no way to recover a section if you forget the password. There is no forgot password functionality, so ensure you note the password in a secure place.
The instructions for password-protecting a section are as follows:
- Right-click on the section that you wish to password-protect.
- Choose Password Protection from the menu that appears. See the following figure for an example of how to password-protect the Performance Management section of the HR notebook:
