Summary
This chapter focused on learning parts of a Design Innovation process so that we can create an informed wearable of value. Remember—these are not done in isolation but are overlapping and often repeated stages. We looked at several elements, including desk research, which we started with. This was about finding secondary information to help us learn about the topic. We followed up with speaking with people, which involved a revisit of ethics, learning how to ask better questions, and finding stakeholders and people to have conversations with. You did this by designing a stakeholder map. An inclusive intention was highlighted as an essential part of today’s design. Considering accessibility and inclusivity should happen throughout all phases of a project. Gaps were identified through researching what is currently done in the field.
