Preferences


Some explanations are repeated here for your convenience. Also see Chapter 5 for detailed information about the options not covered anywhere else on the main part of the Preferences tab.

Contact

Fill out all of the contact details for your store. PrestaShop will automatically add relevant information to relevant places.

Appearance

Easily change themes, logos and icons. There's more discussion in Chapter 2.

Meta-Tags

Here you can define meta tags for your standard pages, site map, contact form, and so on. Simply click on the notepad icon next to the page you want to define and you know how to do the rest.

Products

This sub-tab has loads of options, all to do with products and how they are presented. There's more on this in Chapter 5.

Email

Configure or re-configure all of your e-mail options here. Have a look at Chapter 5 before fiddling with these.

Image

Use these settings to customize the look and feel of your store. This is covered in Chapter 2.

Database

As suggested by the warning message, stay clear of this tab until you have read about backing up your store in Chapter 6.

PDF

PrestaShop creates PDF documents for us in several tabs. For example, invoices and delivery slips. Define your settings like font and encoding here.

Localization

Choose lbs, kg or any other unit of measurement that suits you.

Search

Configure the importance of different factors for PrestaShop search. More information is provided in Chapter 4.
