Considering existing processes and integrating a new implementation
We’ve just talked about how to identify the real pain points of your users and how to pick good candidates for your first prototypes to get early feedback. However, requirements must not just come from your end users. We must look beyond simply providing self-service through a chatbot, template repository, or a new CLI.
We need to look at and analyze the whole value creation journey and where the new platform capabilities fit in. We need to make sure that we understand the current software development life cycle (SDLC) – the process the organization follows as new software gets developed, released, operated, and retired. There are a couple of questions we need to be able to answer:
- What are the criteria and process to introduce change in the existing SDLC?
- How is the current SDLC efficiency measured and how can we measure the positive impact we intend to have?
- Are there any regulatory...
