Provisioning and Managing Phone Numbers for Users, Services, and Conferencing Bridges
When you are ordering numbers, you may be doing so for users, service numbers, or audio-conferencing purposes (as shown in Chapter 9, Managing Meetings and Events). There are three ways you can add new or existing numbers to your Microsoft Teams deployment:
- Add new numbers via the Microsoft Teams admin center (restricted to certain countries and regions)
- Port existing numbers
- Use a request form for new or existing numbers (for those countries/regions that are not supported for ordering via the Teams admin center, or organizations that would otherwise be unable to complete their order via the Teams admin center)
You can order different types of numbers via the Teams admin center. The number of phone numbers you can order is based on the number of users who have a Microsoft Teams Domestic and/or International Calling Plan assigned to them, multiplied by 1.1 plus 10. For example...
