Chapter 15: Managing Datasets
Once you have published your Power BI report on the service, there are a few more things that need to be configured. When published, a Power BI report can create two artifacts in the Power BI service, the report itself and the report's dataset. The dataset is everything except the report pages; the tables, the columns, the relationships, and the measures all make up the dataset.
In this chapter, we will cover how to administer the dataset, how to make sure the date data in the dataset is up to date, how to limit that data to only the people and groups who need it, and how to provide access to your dataset so other report creators can use it for their reports.
