As we have just seen, there is much in common between testing a web service and a web server. This is why the recommendations in Chapter 7, Load Testing a Website apply here. Note that it is important to monitor the volume of data sent by web services. Indeed, messages can be quite verbose, so they can be the cause of performance problems.
