Technical requirements

This chapter requires a basic familiarity with the concepts of heterogeneous computing on the GPU. The code here also assumes access to an NVIDIA GPU built within the last five years or so. So, additional software also needs to be installed beyond Julia (such as the CUDA toolkit), but we show you how to do that within the chapter. Also, while everything else in this book is operating system agnostic and should run in all platforms where Julia is supported, the code in this chapter is tested only on the Linux operating system, and may not work in the same way on other operating systems.
