Technical requirements

A good understanding of cloud technologies and services will be helpful in this chapter. Although we are looking at things more generically, one of our goals in this book is to provide design and implementation advice on building solutions using AWS. Therefore, some general knowledge of AWS and some of the IoT services will be helpful toward your understanding but are not necessary. If you are familiar with another cloud provider, you can probably map those services directly into the layers we present.
