Converting text into tables
Sometimes, you might already have the text that you want to include in a table, and it can make more sense to simply generate a table straight from the text. In this recipe, we will take a look at doing this with the Convert Text to Table feature, and the options that you will encounter when using this handy feature.
Getting started
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1. You will also need to add a text frame, as shown in the Creating text frames and adding placeholder text recipe in Chapter 2, though there is no need to insert placeholder text into the frame here.
