Backing up and restoring a library
With many of your assets stored in a CC Library, it makes sense to back it up. However, this can also be a useful way to move libraries between accounts. Libraries can be exported as .cclib
files, which can then be imported into the CC Libraries panel in not only InDesign but also a range of other Adobe CC apps.
In this short but important recipe, we will look at creating a backup of a library and how to restore it from within the CC Libraries panel in InDesign.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, if you don’t already have a library with some content in it, create one now. I have called mine Brand Ideas Library and added a few sample items, including color swatches, graphics, and text styles, as shown in the earlier recipes in this chapter.
How to do it…
To export and import your CC Libraries, just follow these steps:
