Creating exhaust grills with arrays
Let’s move to the back of the hull. In the following steps, we will create exhaust grills using arrays:
- Create a simple frame at the far end of the tank and add details to it, as shown in Figure 8.46.

- Add some basic shapes (namely, reshaped cubes) to form some bars inside the frame.

- Create a long and thin shape in the frame and add an array to create the grills. Set the Relative Offset factor to 2.000 (or -2.000, depending on the direction).

- Repeat in the other direction to create a grid pattern.

- Use the same technique to create some larger exhausts on the hull.
