Creating an idea in JPD
We’ll start the development process by deciding what to build. We can gather various inputs from our competitors, our customers, and other sources to generate ideas for new features and products to develop.
We will store our idea for a new feature in JPD.
Getting ready
In our JPD project, we must work with the Jira administrator and the Jira project administrator to ensure that we have the appropriate role to create a JPD idea.
Your project administrator can ensure access to create ideas by performing the following steps:
- Select the Project settings option from the sidebar.

- From the Project settings sidebar options, expand Features and select Create ideas. The page that appears should look like this:

- Enable Allow contributors to create ideas by switching the toggle on.
