Making the clock
As we progress through the book, some of the projects will become smaller and smaller in size, and this is no exception. Before we get started with putting everything together, I would just like to make a friendly note on planning the construction of your clock. The next part is a step-by-step guide on how to construct your watch. However, it might be a good idea to read through everything before you get started. Even if this watch is slightly bigger then a normal watch, it can still be tricky to fit all the components in. It should be possible, but if you find it too hard you can always modify the design of the watch and scale it up a bit.
First, we have the schematic of all the connections we need to make. In order to fit everything inside the watch, we will need to solder the connections with wires, as shown in the following Figure 5.4:
