There is no excuse for not gathering statistics when creating apps using Titanium. You have to do more work to stop gathering Appcelerator statistics than you do to include them, so why not use them? The insight you gain into how your app is used, where it is used, and potentially who is using it, is really powerful.
The segment and cross-app analysis provided by Flurry merit a special mention. Without gathering any information from users of your app, Flurry can make an educated guess at your user's age, sex, and interests. This is powerful information.
If you gather stats for your app, you will know if it is a success. If it's a success, you will be looking for a way to make money from it. This is what we will discuss in the next chapter.
