Site blocks
When you use the Site Editor, there are specific blocks that are really useful when creating templates and template parts and thinking about sites. Let’s look at just a few and, later on, we can go into more of them.
Spacer block
A key block when creating sites is the spacer block. This handy little block allows you to literally create just that – space between things. Let’s look at how that might appear in a template. See Figure 9.9.

In the preceding screenshot, you can see the spacer block has a handy dot to move it and some simple interface tools in case you wish to change the size. Depending on the theme, you can set it to different values.
