Chapter 8. vRealize Infrastructure Navigator
Until now, we have concentrated on functionality within vRealize Operations Manager. In this chapter, we will look at how you can extend the capabilities of vRealize Operations with the implementation of vRealize Infrastructure Navigator.
We will look at the following topics in this chapter:
- Deployment and configuration of the Virtual Infrastructure Navigator appliance, and then the integration with vRealize Operations through its Management Pack.
- Dependency mapping: This covers how dependencies between VMs are created through the definition, and mapping, of applications.
- Grouping: This covers how interconnected Virtual Machines can be grouped into applications and services.
- Integrations with vRealize Operations Manager: This is how the applications and services can be surfaced and managed within vRealize Operations.
