Summary
In essence, this chapter was about events and how we can react to events. First, we explained what an event is: anything which causes a significant change in the health condition or personal circumstances. An event needs to be observed; we need to know that it happens. For that, we must collect data. In this chapter, we studied how we can collect and analyze the data, following the principles of OODA: Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act. We can use these principles to design our systems – that is, systems with the required feedback loops for both operational use and transformational learning.
In this chapter, we also learned how we can design systems by using microservices architectures. We have learned to unbundle and rebundle organizations – now, we must do the same with the systems that these organizations use.
