The PostgreSQL Extension Network (PGXN)

The PostgreSQL Extension Network (PGXN) is a collection of extensions and tools to manage them in order to ease your experience with extensions. It is very similar to the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN). Thanks to the PGXN, developers can share and distribute their extensions to other people, who, in turn, can download and install their extensions.

The extension ecosystem

The PGXN is made up of four main components: search, manager, API, and client.

Usually, the first entry point for a user is the PGXN Search, a website through which a user can search for an extension through categories, keywords, descriptions, and so on.
