Steps to install Oracle GoldenGate Veridata
In this recipe, you will learn how to install and configure the Oracle GoldenGate Veridata server, using which you can validate data between the source and target systems.
Getting ready
The setup in this recipe will be performed on a new VM named mgmt1-ol6. The VM was set up with OEL 6.3. The Oracle GoldenGate Monitor server requires a database for the repository purposes. In this example setup, we will be using an Oracle database for the repository. The Oracle 11.2.0.3 binaries have been installed on this VM under /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1. A shell database named oggmgmt has been created under this Oracle Home. This database is registered with the default LISTENER running on the port 1521. This recipe does not cover the steps to install the Oracle binaries and to create the shell database. It is assumed that the reader is already familiar with the steps for these two tasks.
