JIRA's Audit Log
There is an Audit Log in JIRA that keeps track of all the configuration changes that happen in JIRA. This log is quite useful for tracking any changes in the schemes; the best part is that this log is available through the JIRA administrative interface.
Let's access JIRA's Audit Log:
Navigate to JIRA Administration | System | Audit Log (under TROUBLESHOOTING AND SUPPORT):
As you can see in the preceding screenshot, events such as new user creation and modifications in the user group are recorded. The changes tracked by Audit Log are as follows:
- User management
- Group management
- Project changes
- Permission changes
- Workflow changes
- Notification scheme changes
- Custom field changes
- Component changes
- Version changes
The JIRA administrator can refer to this Audit Log for troubleshooting purposes.
