Create a controlled membership group and allow course roles
Now that you've learned what a controlled membership group is and what course group roles are, it's time to have a go at putting things together to create a controlled membership group with course roles allowed.
Returning to the example from Training for Work, Graham has now made the user he created earlier — Peter Tooley — into a staff member. Peter is the course leader for an evidence-based qualification (for example, NVQ Level 2 in the UK) in Mechanical Engineering, which is why he belongs in this institution. He and his tutors would like to be able to assess evidence submitted by the learners through Mahara. He is going to need either a request or controlled group and to allow course roles, so that he can create some tutors.
