Creating pages for the Neighborhood site


In the last chapter, you created various neighborhood communities and organizations. Now let's define their structure by adding pages to them. Pages are the building block of any website. Liferay pages belong to communities and organizations or a user's personal community. Liferay has divided pages into two categories—public and private.

Public pages are by default accessible to all the users including guest users, that is non-registered users. They generally used to define most of the public facing websites with unrestricted access. However, Liferay permission system allows you to restrict access to public pages by modifying page-level permission.

Private pages are accessible only to members, that is private pages of a specific community will be available to only that community's members.
