Summary
In this chapter, we discussed the IDP pipeline and how this can apply to insurance industry use cases. We discussed the benefit enrollment application and how we can use AWS AI services to automatically check for benefit eligibility before we finalize the benefit application process.
We then dove deep into an insurance claims processing use case. We also discussed how to automate the extraction and enrichment process of a claims document and its supporting documents with AWS AI services. We also defined business rules and checked the validity of our claims against the defined business rules. Finally, we dove deep into the implementation details with AWS IDP services to auto-adjudicate a claim. We also used an invalid claim document to check for its completeness.
In the next chapter, we will extend IDP to an additional industry use case. We will dive deep into a mortgage application processing use case and see how IDP can help automate it.
