SRM appliance deployment

In this section, we will discuss the following procedure for deploying the SRM appliance:

  1. First, we download the VMware SRM appliance from the VMware website (https://www.vmware.com/):

  2. Deploy the OVA file, and then connect to the VxRail cluster with the vSphere Web Client. Right-click on a data center, host, or cluster and select Deploy OVF Template…:

  3. Select Local file and then click the Choose Files button to upload the OVF template:

  4. Specify the SRM name and select your HQ data center folder. Click the NEXT button:

  5. Select a VxRail cluster, host, or resource pool where you want to run the deployed SRM appliance and then click the NEXT button:

  6. Review the virtual appliance's details...
