What is a wireframe?


Wireframing is one of the most essential tools that we, as UX professionals, should know about, because it is an important element when it comes to product design and development.

It doesn't matter whether we are creating a physical product, website, mobile application, or even if we are building the next start-up, wireframes are the key part for starting any of those and for keeping everyone on the same page – product designers, product owners, engineers, stakeholders, and many more.

In other words, wireframes visually represent the product's user interface before we start the visual design implementation. We use wireframes to create the hierarchy of user interface components that will be inside our product design.

To better understand wireframes, just consider building a house. For example, before you start building the house and painting and furnishing it, first you need an architect, who will draw the house plan and each floor plan for you to know where the kitchen...
