Summary
In this chapter, we learned how to manage backup and recovery options for Windows Server. We covered how to install and use Azure Backup Server for general backup and recovery of files and folders. Then, we discussed how to configure and use Azure Recovery Services vaults to back up files and folders using backup policies. Finally, we learned how to recover virtual machines from snapshots, how to recover a VM to a new Azure Virtual Machine, and how to successfully restore a VM to its previous running state consistent with the AZ-801 exam objectives.
In the next chapter, we will learn about another valuable disaster recovery tool called Azure Site Recovery. We will discuss how to configure Azure Site Recovery, how to create and implement a recovery plan, and how to configure recovery policies to ensure your workload remains online in the event of a planned or unplanned outage/failure.
